Stay away from this shop!

I am very disappointed in the service I got from Hunter Cycling. I bought a second hand MTB from there. There was an issue with the brakes which Jean pointed out prior to purchasing. He said he can fix this with a bleed together with a service at an additional cost. I declined this as I have two other mechanics that I always make use of. Jean assured me that the brakes issue would be sorted out by bleeding them. This was not true. Both my mechanics that I took it to said the problem is too severe and can only be resolved by replacing the brakes. This would obviously cost a lot more than just bleeding them. I then contacted Jean to inform him of this so that he could fix it by bleeding seeing as he claimed he could do so. Jean completely ignored me. I ended up spending more on the bike than anticipated all because Jean downplayed the problem with the bike and could not live up to his claim of being able to fix it when I had exhausted other alternatives. I specifically asked him upon purchasing the bike, what happens if I have an issue with something. I could not even get a straight answer for this. I really would not recommend purchasing a bike from Hunter cycling. It's a case of what you see, is not what you get!
