Manager's Bad attitude and disrespect towards customers

29 March 2026 - This will be the 2nd formal complaint I submit regarding the service and attitude of staff at your Port Alfred branch of Hungry Lion. At around 14h00 today we went to order some lunch. Again some of the foods were already not available even though they are still to be open till 18h00. Substitutes (extra chips) were offered for exmple the coleslaw they didn't have. Once we received the order, we checked it and noticed that it was incomplete. We went and informed them about it. We indicated to the lady at the receiving point what the problem was. She was also the one that took the initial order. We also took note that she's the manager on duty at the time. She immediately had an attitude towards my son, who was trying to explain to her what was wrong with the order. I told her that I ordered dunked wings, which she argued I didn't. She then insisted on giving her R5 before she will fix it to dunked wings. I hate sending food back, because one doesn't know what they do to your food out of spite. We then pointed out to her that the coleslaw replacements (extra chips) were not included. The mini loaves were frozen. We only got 3 instead of 4 mini loaves. The more we tried to sort this issue, the more arrogant she got towards us. She then blamed the person who packed the order and called him ***********. Let me just mention that I'm 73 years old and she had absolutely no respect for me as an elder or as a customer. There were another customer and his family eating in, that stood up and told her that that is no way to treat customers. She just ignored his remark. I told her that I'm laying a formal complaint at head office. Her response was that she doesn't care and I can go ahead and do it. This has been the worst treatment I've ever received in my entire life where a simple take away order turns out to be a nightmare AGAIN.The utter disrespect and arrogance from her was absurd. I feel that this has become the norm at this branch in regards to their attitude and feels they are ****** and extremely rude towards their white customers.
