Most uncompassionate and money greedy Agents
We were renting a property in Eligwa Estate through Huizemark Three Rivers. On the 29th of January 2020, 5 bravo men came into our house and kept us hostage for over two hours while *****ing our electronics, jewelry ect. Myself, my Husband and my mother of 64 where forced to lie on the floor with the bravo men pointing their weapons at us the whole time. We were tied up and embarrassed. Once we got loose the Estates Security was called that also did nothing as they left out of the front gate with my husbands Hilux. We contacted Babsie at Huizemark and begged her to find us another property so that we could not loose our deposit. I am mentioning that we did sign an extension on the lease just a few weeks before. But we begged them to find us another house as we could not sleep and we did not feel safe in our own home. We kept sending them photos of properties and Babsie just kept saying they have nothing for us. I even went into their office on the 3rd of February begging her to assist us in finding a house. She just said that she will see what she can do. On the 5th of February they started advertising our property on Private Property without our knowledge. We eventually found a house on our own and we moved out the weekend of the 7th of February 2020. We know that we broke contract but under the circumstances we were hoping that we would get our deposit back. Which they are refusing to pay back. I also spoke to two other agencies and explained our circumstances and they confirmed that if something like that had happened to their tenants they would have paid back the deposit due to unforeseen circumstances. Friday the 28th of February 2020 me and my husband got reminders that our rent was due to Huizemark. We contacted Babsie again to find out if the debit order has been stopped. She confirmed that she will find out but there is nothing she could do. Which means the debit order went off and our other policies and alarm could not go off. The debit order came back but we are stuck paying the penalties for debit orders not going through. Once again Huizemarks response was its not their problem. For me it feels like Huizemark is using our trauma to gain money for themselves.
