Being taken for granted

So we bought a house cash from this property agent, everything was smooth, on point and proper until we had paid for the house. We were promised that the owner would be out by the 1st of September 2018 infact we were told that the owner is ready to move out anytime

Came the 1st of September, owner did not move out and no one bothered to @lst notify us in time that the owner won’t be moving out on that set day only on the last minute we were told that she won’t be moving out after we had packed and were ready to go

Ohk these things do take time sometimes and it’s understandable, so we were told the owner needs 1 more month and we gave them that month, end of September owner did not move out apparently there were hiccups, mom and the kids were booked into a BNB which apparently all expenses were paid but it wasn’t the case

All the moving from Kempton Park to the guesthouse, from the guesthouse to the house cost mom a fortune and threw her out of budget

The owner which decided to move out and not let anyone know did not leave the house in a proper condition, the contract stated that should we not be able to move in or should the owner not be able to move out on the set date then will have to pay R3000 rent, the owner that unfortunately couldn’t move out did not pay the rent, the house was not on the condition mom viewed it in, the geysers was and is still leaking, the electricity bill was on a high which is costing mom more money

We then communicated with the agent that was dealing with the transactions and everything else but she then told us “her transactions are done” and that we need to take the matter up with huizemark management which we did in writing, mom even went to their offices but was being sent from pillar to post.

Judy, the person that was dealing with the transactions advised that cash transactions are quick and painless maybe for some people but to me and my family it was a pain in the ass...
