UTTERLY DISGUSTING SERVICE - HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES

On 29 July 2018 I took my Huawei P10 in to the Huawei store in Canal Walk to have the screen repaired. At the store I was assisted by Aurin Davids who advised that as the device was still in warranty the repair for the screen would be free. I then had the device booked in. On 1 August I received a quotation for repair amounting to just under R1000, confused by this I called the repairer to ask what it was for as I qualified for their 'Diamond' Service. I was then advised that the quotation was for the tiny piece of glass at the back of the phone. Frustrated I rep**** to the email saying that the device was only booked for the screen to be repaired and that I would not be accepting their quote. To date I have not received a reply.

Why is it that everything is not disclosed to the client before devices get booked in. The consultant could clearly see that the back was damaged and yet no mention of a repair for the back would be a requirement to actually get the screen repaired!!!

I have gone through other complaints to Huawei and they clearly do not give a damn about their clients as not one has been responded to. What is the point of them having a diamond service if you aren't even able to use it.

It has now been close to 2 weeks that I do not have a phone, and when calling the Huawei Customer Care I was advised that the device has not even been repaired yet!!! Huawei Diamond Service counts for **** and I surely will NOT be getting another Huawei Device!!!

Huawei staff are clearly *********** and need training, did you all just pick people off the street to work for you?!

Maybe they'll take note if someone goes to the papers with them or I will get in contact with the ICASA!!!

I just realised that the complaint should not go to ICASA but to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud
