Terrible customer service

Took my phone P20 lite into Huawei Canal Walk to have the screen repaired. At the time they were offering a free screen cover. At the time of collecting my hand set there wasn't a cover available. Only the store manager can print the covers. After many calls to the customer care department and an additional visit to the store, I was still not able to get a cover. I was contacted to say a rep would come to me and apply the screen. What great service I thought, but 3 weeks later I am still without cover and have given up with trying to get the cover.

What happened to the days when one was actually offered customer service from retailers?
