Stay away from HAUWEI cellphones

Do not buy a HAUWEI phone. I purchased a Hauwei Pura 70 2 months ago. A phone that costs R20 000 that is useless. The phone runs on platform that connects with Google Play store. (Gbox) I was told by the Telkom rep and HAUWEI rep that the playstore is now accessible like on all other Android phones. This is how they con you into purchasing the phone. It is such a headache in navigating and trying to find workaround for apps. They use a backdoor to get into Google Playstore. The apps are not all available. Some apps through workarounds are not available. Like you cannot download google wallet to name one. No NFC on the phone to make payments. I cannot understand why Telkom would want sell you a HAUWEI. They know it will never function properly due to the US ban on HAUWEI. Just on HelloPeter there is over 1300 complaints with 1 star rating. . Stay away from this phone. You are wasting your money. A R3000 smartphone is a better option than a HAUWEI. Btw still waiting for the smar****ch and earbuds. Have not received anything to date. No response from Telkom or HAUWEI on an email I sent regarding the issue. Beware
