Phone ****** from Huawei Canal Walk

I took my Huawei P30 Pro in to Huawei in Canal Walk for assessment for liquid damage on 02/11/2024. I received a quote from Gladys on 04/11/2024. I rejected the quote on 14/11/2024 and went to collect it from Gladys on 27/11/2024. Only to be told that I had already collected it. Nope....Then we were told the first of the four stories. First one was my husband collected it on my behalf with the job card. Bear in mind that only 2 copies of the job card is printed when the unit is booked in, one for the store and one for the client. Then I was told that it had been collected by person(s) unknown to me who had the quotation. Then it was a person from my insurance salvage company who had the quotation. Then it was person(s) unknown to me who had the quote and spoke to my husband on the phone to confirm they could collect on my husband's behalf (It is my phone and I booked it in). Now it is a person who had an Identity Document with the same surname who collected it, using the quotation. What is really scary is that only myself, my husband and my insurance broker who is based in Durban who knew that I had taken my phone in. The insurance even submitted an email confirming that they had not collected the phone. The store did not even take a copy of the identity document or any other form of identification of the person who was collecting it. This leads us to think that this is very possibly an inside job as I had the only other copy of the job card and quote, and whoever passed on either of those to a "friend" probably thought that the phone would not be collected by me. I was even given a picture of the guy who collected MY PHONE!!!!! Despite NUMEROUS communications with Sergio, who is the supposed manager at Huawei Canal Walk, and Gladys who just didn't bother to try and fix her own mess; and Huawei South Africa who likes to phone back every couple of days just to say that "they are still looking into it". Next steps? Theft charge against Huawei? NCC?
