P10 FAULTY

So my mother got a P10 Huawei last year in July. Last week the phone just went dead didn't wanna charge nothing, when he took it to MTN (as it is a contract Phone) they just said the mother board is broken and cant be fixed. Mind you she's hasnt even carried this phone for year.

We then heard that there are other P10 phones that just stopped working just like hers and they were collected from the users.

Please assist and advise what must we do because she is still paying for this phone at MTN.
