No correspondence with regards to warranty
I purchased a Huawei P6 in January 2014. I had the problem of the phone constantly restarting due to a faulty power button. After taking the phone to Makro, the store at which the contract was taken out, I was told that the network operator, cell c, carries out a one year warranty on all devices and so the device was out of warranty. I then proceeded to call the Huawei customer care line. Sehbogo was the operator I dealt with. I was told that although the network operator carries a one year warranty, Huawei carries an additionally one year warranty on all devices. The contact number of a company in Johannesburg, Arbalest, was given to me . Apparently they would be responsible for the repair of my device. After calling Arbalest, they insisted that they would not repair the device and that Huawei would have to cover the repair. I then proceeded to seek advice from the Huawei SA Facebook page , were I was told to contact the call centre again. The call centre now says that the device is only covered for one year and I have received no response from the Huawei SA Facebook page. This is really frustrating as I have a device that I can't use and there is no Huawei support in Durban
