New Huawei Cellphone - Promotions not Received

The following review is regarding my experience of a R2000 Woolworths voucher, from Huawei via Vodacom, which has not been paid out to myself since i puchased the Cell phone package in December 2016. I am under the impression i am not the only one.

On the 23 Dec 2016 I purchased a Huawei P9 Cellphone 24 moth package from Vodacom, which included a R2000 Woolworth's shopping voucher as part of the package.

I was informed that i was to submit the voucher code, located in the Huawei phonce box, as per the instructions - This I did. I recevied a SMS notifying me that the code had been received from TLC Rewards (Huawei Promotion's company) and i was going to be contacted by an agent in the next 14 days. I received a SMS, on the 12 January 2017, confirming that i have been successfully validated and i was to submit the proof of purchase, before the 14 Jan 2017, for final approval. All documentation was submitted on the 13th Jan 2017.

From then on I received no notification from TLC Rewards so i decided to contact Huawei Technologies, which i did on the 04 Feb 2017. I was informed by the call centre agent that there was a backlog regarding the authorisation of the vouchers and i was to re-submit the proof of puchase and cell phone details so they could escalate it. All this documention was submittted on the 06 Feb 2017.

From then i did not hear from anyone, so I made contact again wiht Huawei on the 04 March 2017. I was again informed that there is a backlog and my claim has been escalated. No further information could be provided from Huawei as to when this would be finalised. The call agent did inform me that he would make contact with on the 06 March 2017 but this did not occur.

So i deccided to call again which was on the 10 March 2017. In my frustration i infromed the call centre agent that i did not want to talk to her and i want to talk to her line manager or someone higher as the same response was provided where "there is a backlog and my claim will be escalated". I handed over to a lady by the neame of Kganelo (apologies if spelling is incorrect) whom was brought up to speed of my frustration, no voucher and lack of service from Huawei. She informed me that she would personally investigate this and ensure my claim would be processed in the following week. I did not hear from her and I once again I called Kganelo to find out on the progress, this was on the 15 March 2017. She infromed me that there has been no progress and she will follow up with me again on the 17 March 2017. Again, no feedback was received and I called again on the 20 March 2017 where she informed me that still no progress has been made and there is a backlog in the escalated dept regarding my claim....she did inform me that she will make contact with me as soon as she knows more.............who know when this will be.

the amount of time that i have spent, including this write up, has been costly and such a waste of time. I am not sure the route to go now as all you get is a call centre agent who is given a standard response to their customers. It would be better if there call centre was run by machines / computers to have that natural non-human interaction/ service.
