Never buy a Huawei smart watch

Never buy a Huawei smart watch through Totalsports as reseller.

I took my Huawei watch fit to Totalsports (Blue Route branch) almost 8 weeks ago to check why the GPS tracking has stopped working. The watch was sent to Huawei in Canal Walk for testing.

Huawei firstly issued a quote to fix the watch that was more than the purchase price of the watch, apparently you have to pay to have a software issue fixed for Huawei electronics so the warranty they give means nothing. Huawei also said that the watch is no longer under warranty..which is strange because there was still 1 month of the 12 month warranty left when I took it in to Totalsports..was my watch maybe sitting in a cupboard somewhere while the warranty ran out?Totalsports told me this was out of their hands, which is a different tune from when I bought the watch and they assured me that any issues will be fixed while the watch is still under warranty.

Secondly, between Huawei and Totalsports they have recorded the wrong issue. I called Totalsports multiple times to follow up over the course of the past 6 weeks and each time they cited the wrong issue..did they maybe confuse my watch with someone else's?

In the end I asked for my watch to please be returned to me asap and that is where I am at now, battling to get the watch back. Totalsports is just saying they will check with Huawei and so far nothing.

I will never even consider getting anything Huawei again, its cheaper than Garmin and Fitbit for a reason.

Just fyi, its also such a mission to connect Huawei smart watches with Strava so don't even bother.
