Is Huawei *********ing me ??????

I have been using a Huawei phone for about a year and technically I cannot fault the phone. However, when I wanted to make a backup of my data, I was informed that there is a backup of Hisuite available. I did not want it, but it seemed that you cannot use the older version anymore. Oh .. it seems the new version has primarily have a backup-facility built in. Anyway, so after noticing that I HAVE to upgrade I downloaded the new version and was about to allow the install to go ahead when I was confronted with the "Terms and Conditions" . I took a screen-shot of this to publish it here but it seems that I would not be able to post the pic. It grants Huawei the right to download certain of your information. OF course they "say" that my privacy is their "concern". When I called their help-center, I was indeed told that I have to upgrade to continue using the software. So, after purchasing a phone with a reasonable expectation of maintaining my right to make certain choices about my information, that right is now taken away from me, with no recourse because I still have a year left on this contract. And to top this, I now cannot backup my information , so if my phone is ****** tomorrow, then I will be left with certain of my information lost.
