HUAWEI/DISCOVERY APPS UPGRADE
Since the update of the Discovery app in October 2019, my exercise data could no longer be synced, as my phone (Huawei Y 5 II) is too "old" for the app, according to Discovery, irrespective that my wearable fitness device (6 months old) is on their approved list (Huawei Band 2 Pro), although Huawei advised me "kindly note that the Band2 pro is no longer compatible with the vitality app due to the software upgrade", which Discovery said is not true. Discovery has now stopped manually adding my exercise points to my Vitality Active Rewards and I won't get any further points with my fitness device, until I have a phone that can download and operate the latest Discovery app, so that it can sync the exercise data. I also now forfeit my cashback for the remainder of the 24 months on my fitness device, as my VAR will show that I haven't reached the weekly goal of 900 points, although I qualify for up to 1 500 VAR points per week, through my exercise routines. I have a phone that works perfectly but because the Discovery app update now only works on Android 6+ OS and mine doesn't, I now have to forfeit. Their solution? Get a new phone that can operate the app. I must now spend thousands for a new phone, just for this app, And when the app is upgraded again...and my phone AGAIN becomes incompatible...what a vicious circle...
