HUAWEI REPAIR CENTRE - SOUTH AFRICA

I used the Huawei online chat service last week to find out about a screen replacement for a Huawei Mate 20 lite.

The support consultant confirmed on the chat that there was a promotion running at the Cornubia Mall for R699 to replace the battery and screen. I drove 80km to get to Cornubia on the weekend to be told that the special is not for the Mate 20 Lite. I have a copy of the chat transcript that was emailed to me showing that Huawei had quoted me R699 for screen and battery replacement for a Mate 20 Lite.

When I contacted Huawei customer service department subsequently, they merely offered an apology. An apology is not going to cover the cost of traveling to their store and the inconvenience of a wasted day.
