Huawei P70 pro, what a failure

I bought the Huawei p70 pro, the sales assistant at Mtn indicated that Google play store can be used on the phone. I downloaded the Google play store app, however I am unable to use many downloaded apps, as it gives me a message to say that i need to update Google play, which I can not do as according to Google, the device is not certified to use Google play store! I have checked their list of certified devices and this phone is not on the list. Watsapp business I can not use at it gives me a message that says that I need the official watsapp to login. There is no use of a phone on which I can not use my Google apps. I only bought it cos the sales assistant said that I am able to use Google on the phone. What a dreadful recovery. I hope Mtn will exchange the phone for an android phone.
