Huawei P20 lite screen defect

I purchased a new Huawei P20 lite via FNB on 8 March 2019. I received the phone delivered to my door by a courier service. A few days later the screen cracked by itself as if it was under pressure or tension. I took the phone to the Huawei repair center in Canal walk Cape Town. The person assisting me informed me to order a new screen and I had to pay for the replacement. The phone was not damaged by me and I don't want a repaired phone. I tried to contact Huawei but they do not respond.
