Huawei Melrose Arch - Huawei technologies

Huawei ran a promotion on replacement of battery on the P20 pro for R99 , so my phone being over a year old and with most cell phones and battery operated devices, as they get older the battery tends to lose charge quicker , so R99 was a bargain for a replacement battery , I booked in my phone for the replacement at Melrose Arch branch and was pleasantly surprised to get a call from them 2 days later saying that my phone was ready and because it was still under warranty there was no charge , picked up the phone and to my surprise the phone was still running the battery down the same as before . I used it for about 2 weeks before contacting customer care and they suggested sending the phone back in to have it checked , I reluctantly agreed because the branch is around 40km away from me and the inconvenience of not having my cellphone . 2 days later after booking in the phone again with Huawei Melrose , I get a call from the sales rep giving me a quote of four hundred and some odd rands to repair the back cover which has a small scratch , so I explained to the rep that I just want the battery to be sorted out and I'm not fussed about the scratch . I asked what will they be doing to sort out the battery problem and the answer was "I don't know " , we just need to quote for the back cover . After pulling out my hair at the branch and leaving my phone there I decided to call the Huawei customer care line , and to my surprise , they also don't know what's happening , they also just want to replace my cover and not do anything about the problem at hand . I've spoken to a "superior" at the customer care name Sipho , and Sipho says "maybe the back cover is causing the battery to go down" , really ? So Sipho did give me a good piece of information, he said that in order to change the battery the back cover has to be changed because they come together , so my question to him was " Why didn't they change the back cover the first time when the battery was supposedly changed"?????? So I decided to just pick up my phone and live with the battery problem until my contract expires and change my brand of phone to maybe Apple or Samsung . Huawei make great products but their South African representatives are causing it when it comes to service
