Huawei in Direct Violation of my Consumer Rights
I want to formally complain as my Consumer Protection Rights have been violated. Huawei informed me that they will have a Black Friday Special and continuously sent me reminding emails. The only condition of the sale was only time bound that would start at 19:00 on 25 November 2020. I successfully added the bundle of R4999 (90% Off on Smartphone + Smar****ch + Notebook) in my cart and their system removed my item from my cart automatically. I have snapshots of my cart where I am checking out to make payment. In addition the online shopping platform did not allow me to put my address in. These faults are on their side and did not allow me to pay for my goods and as it stands now, they claim it is out of stock. This is in direct violation of my Consumer Right as per the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008: Consumer Right No. 5: Right to Fair and Responsible Marketing Consumer Right No. 6: Right to Fair and Honest Dealing I am holding them accountable to honour their deal as they were the ones to reached out to me on numerous occasions. According to the Consumer rights Protection Act, if you enticed me to your shop through a special and that item is not in stock while still within the time span, than I have the right to choose an equivalent item(s) for the exact same price.
