Huawei cant fix there own device still faulty after being repaired (Under warranty), wont replace it either.
I recently had my mate 9 repaired in canal walk, at the Huawei repair center. The service i have received, has been the worst experience i have ever had when dealing with a Technology company. Below i attempt to explain why.
It took two weeks to get my device repaired which was originally booked in with a cracked screen and faulty charging unit. After numerous visits to the canal walk branch i was informed that my device would be repaired. At this point most of the time wasted was due to my own inability to provide a proof of purchase. On receipt of proof of purchase i was informed that my device would be repaired when all the required parts were sourced. A few days later i visited the store again to find my device had been "repaired". Happily i booked out my device only to find out the same evening that the battery was draining in a matter of hours. The following day i returned to the store and booked my device for repairs again. i was told that the technicians had found no fault with my device, whist admitting there appeared to be a unknown issue causing the battery to drain. Becoming frustrated i asked to speak directly to a technician who insisted that i book the device in a 3rd time to have it checked. the following day i received a call stating that he (The tech) could not find a fault but also determined the device for some or other reason was experiencing a battery drain. He then informed me that he has spoken to a regional manager and that my faulty device would be swapped with a new device shortly. I was also told to collect my faulty device while i await a replacement.
I waited a whole week and had to contact huawei myself, only to be told that they can only replace my device with a p10. I insisted that i cannot accept a p10 for my current mate 9 device, which is under warranty as i am not happy to have a smaller screen. Again i was told that they would get back to me after speaking to a regional manager.
After another week of having to contact the tech directly i have been told to wait and wait and wait. It is quit obvious that the aim here is to mentally drain me into accepting a faulty device with a battery that lasts 5 hours on standby. I believe the story i have been told has been told to others when Huawei is unable to identify a fault with there own device.
I have had many devices with many different brands but my business with Huawei has left me very disappointed. Never before have i felt like a large multinational organisation , 3rd largest Mobile device brand in SA can be so simply *********.
