How can you see the product if you don't open the packaging ***

Disgusting service. I bought a watch online which it said was for running. When I opened the watch I discovered it did not come with a heart rate monitor. Asked if I could return it the next day and they said no - because I had opened the package!!! You have got to be ****ing kidding me. Will be pursuing this further in small claims court if that is possible
