Faulty watch

Dearest Huawei. I bought a Huawei watch GT 2 in December 2019. So Ive been using it for 1 year and 9 months now. The sad thing is, it is not working anymore. The right side of the touch screen of face watch is broken. I took it to the huawei shop in Menlyn and they told me it's going to cost R1400 to fix. I know electronics can't last forever but it feels to me that a year and 8 months is a little short (it broke a month ago already) So my question is. Do you think it's fair for me to have this watch fixed for R1400? Me and my whole family only use huawei phones and watches.
