False Repair report - Refuse to repair device under warranty - Poor service
My phone was taken to the Canal Walk repair center on Thursday, 11th March 2021. The fault for the selfie camera malfunctioned and for the aux handsfree has no sound.
The consultant logged the repair as (no sound), I told her that description is vague. She said that they will do the assessment and will pick up that the aux is the issue. I don't have to worry. (When the phone was booked in on assessment the device was not damaged)
After I booked in the phone for repair ****h March or 12th March) I called to check in with the call center to see what the repair was booked for. The gentlemen advised me that I should not worry the repair center will do a complete test on the device and will pick it up if the aux is problematic.
On Friday 12th March 2021, I received a telephone call to advise me that the phone has been repaired. I ask the lady that if she can check in with the repair center before I collect the phone that if the aux (handsfree) was actually repaired and not the sound on the device. ( I am still waiting on her call back)
After I received the device on the 12th March 2021, I installed my previously installed software and this caused the selfie camera to malfunction again. The aux sound was fixed but you had to turn the input to make it work properly.
Monday, 15th March the phone was booked in again, this time I made sure that the assessor logs the description of the aux sound correctly on the log report as well as the malfunction selfie camera. (no damage to the bent phone was mentioned or flashing screen)
Tuesday, 16th March I received an update that my phone is damaged and that they cannot fix my device under your warranty policy.
After this, I went to the repair center go and see how the device looks w.r.t their repair report. My phone was bent and the back cover slightly opened. The phone was not fleshing as they reported. I requested the Canal Walk repair center manager to call me Mario, but still waiting on his call and his reply to my email after follow-ups have been done. In conclusion, Huawei refused to fix the phone under warranty because of the damage (bent) phone which I believe they caused while the phone was in their possession. What a clever tactic to avoid repair costs.
