Dissapointed in faulty watch

I've always been a firm believer in huawei products. I even tell all my friends and family, don't go with any other service or devices except for huawei. But they have let me down. I bought the Huawei Gt 2 watch brand new about 1 year and 8 months ago. They watch face is now faulty. The touch screen on the watch doesn't work on the right hand side. The left side works. Very funny. Anyway, I took it to the huawei shop where I bought it and they told me it only has a one year warranty and that I would have to pay R1400 for 'n new touch screen for the face. The watch isn't even that old... Is this now the quality we can expect? Very bad huawei. I think Apple is a better option at the moment.
