Disappointed and Frustrated with Huawei Canal Walk
I've been back and forth with the Huawei customer support team and the Canal Walk Huawei store refuses to answer the phone. I waited for a quote for 3 weeks from this store for a cracked screen, which I had to pay R150 for. I chatted to three different people at the Huawei support centre and none of them called me back or could tell me where my phone is. The first time 15/01/2018 I contacted them I got in touch with Thandiwe Sithole, she informed me she needs to get a hold of the Canal Walk store, as they will have an update and she promised to call me back. The next day 16/01/2018, I still didn’t get a call back I contact them again and chatted to Nora Ennuson, she informed me that Thandiwe was still looking into this and cannot get a hold of the store, I told her to have someone call me about this, no-one called. Wednesday 17/01/2018, surprise surprise still no call, contacted them again and spoke to Nora who decided to transfer my complaint to another colleague and that colleague transferred my complaint back to her. Nora advised that she escalated this issue and someone will call me. Right enough someone did call me called Colleen, she had no clue what type of phone I had, even though I provided them will the IMEI number and the Job number, again she promised me a call back the next day and again she didn’t call. I called the contact centre and was given the contact number for the store, this is what I wanted in the beginning, but was told they don’t have a number. After calling this store 27 times on 18/01/2018 someone finally answered and when I said “finally someone answers” she giggled, as this was a joke to her. I was promised a call back on that day and no one called. On 19/01/2018 I called the Canal Walk store more than 30 times finally Andre answers, takes down my details and checks the system, the call ended and he called me back. He requested my husband’s number and the call ended again. I tried calling the store again 9 times and was so frustrated about this I gave up. Not once did they try and call my husband or myself back. On Saturday 20/01/2018 I went into the store only to find that Andre was the only one in the store. He clearly remembered me and told me that the store’s phone doesn’t ring so no one knows a call is coming through. WHAT????!!! He gave me a price to fix the screen and I paid another R1078 and was advised that my phone will be ready on Monday. I called the store again on 22/01/2018, about 30 odd times and no one answered! At this point I’ve had enough of this. I’ve paid a total of R1228 to this store. I had to drive to sort out this problem because they aren’t competent enough to do anything via the telephone. And the endless airtime and time that I had to spend contacting Huawei. I finally got a hold of Andre and he says “your phone has been fixed, it shows this on the system”, I asked him to go and physically check if my phone is fixed as I want to fetch it and he said his the only one in the store he cannot go to the back. To top it all off I was told to pay another R150 as the quote I paid on Saturday was short paid! Why is no one doing anything about the Canal Walk’s stores service, for one of the leading cellphone companies you would think the service would be excellent, but clearly no one cares as long as Huawei gets your money!!! I escalated this problem and got the most horrible response from Charmaine Mapping from bytes people solutions. It’s as if everyone in this company just brushes me off with some ****py response. I'll make it my mission to inform everyone I know about my horrible experience with Huawei. I went to get my phone on 24/01/2018, after almost a month of waiting. I didn’t get a proper apology from the consultant and was brushed off when I spoke about the service I received all this time. To put the cherry on the cake, my phone’s screen looks different to the original Huawei Nova screen.
