Brand loyalty counts for nothing with Huwaei

I lodged a complaint against the customer service representative at Huawei Canal Walk due to the following: I arrived at the store at precisely at 17:55 on the evening of 25/08/2020 to book in my daughter's phone for a repair to her screen. While the store's official closing time is at 6pm due to Covid-19 restrictions, it was empty at the time of my arrival. I stood there a little disappointed. To my (soon to be disappointed) delight someone stepped into the store at 5:59 pm exactly and I thought excellent, at least I can get the booking done today. Much to my dismay this individual ignored me even after I tapped on the window, went into the back office and switched off the lights. I waited a few minutes to inquire as to why I was so rudely ignored for a process that probably takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes or at the very least a basic book in could be done and the rest of the information completed the following day telephonically maybe but to no avail.

What really boiled my blood was that upon making Huawei's complaints department aware of this I was basically told that 5 minutes was not enough to book in a phone, so in other words they: 1 don't care that the store was empty i.e. how many other customers were by default "ignored" and 2 that a customer was blatantly ignored.

Had the individual merely stated that as policy they do not accept bookings after a certain time for whatever reason, I probably would not have made any whoohaaa about it and just come back the next day. This sort of treatment for an individual who owns 7 Huawei devices in his immediate family and has influenced several of his family and friends to purchase Huawei devices leaves a foul taste in my mouth for a brand that I have supported since they came to our s****s many years ago due to my abject hate for most things American. Never mind the additional 8 devices which are no longer with us as these have either been passed on to other family members or have ceased to function.
