Appliance Man - Appliance Repair *******

<p>We called Appliance Man ( ********** ) for repairs to my wash machine at our house in Benoni. </p> <p>They charge a R 400 call out fee if you don`t use them for repairs once the repairs are quoted on . </p> <p>They quoted my R 1400.00 for a new pump for my wash machine - which I accepted. </p> <p>They did the "repair" and then left the invoice for me t pay. Luckily I did not pay as the machine was still not working when I got home that day. </p> <p>I called Appiance Man again and the "technician" came back and looked at the machine and told me it needed a new "board" which would cost about R 4000.00 but that it was also discontinued so I should s**** the machine. </p> <p>I was told I don`t have to pay for the new pump already fitted when the initial repairs were done only the R 400 call out fee and this raised a red flag for me - why would you not want paymnt for such an expensive part?? </p> <p>We then took our machine to Hofmans in Brakpan who repired the machine 100% for R 500.00 and who have also indicated that NO new pump was fitted to the machine and that the original unit was still in the machine. </p> <p>Please be aware of this **** comapny. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
