Used plane ticket

I booked a ticket, throught this company with CemAir after a while I needed to cancel, where they told me I cant cancel only move the booking which I then did.

Then I got a email that the ticket was used, I never used the ticket and they also dont want to refund me as I needed the money for my mothers funeral
