Entire villa hosted by Mo BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE & LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM

Over Christmas 2020, my family and I visited Hoedspruit Entire villa hosted by Mo which we found on airbnb. As excited as we were to enjoy our trip we were shocked at how the host lacked hospitality. The villa rented out was hosted by MO as advertised on airbnb but to our surprise MO decided to send his father to come and hand over the keys to the Villa as he believed he would get to us much quicker than him. Even after sending him our live location of our travel, Mo's father made us wait for him for over 40min and when he eventually arrived he offered no apology or a greeting at least. In his words he jut said you can follow me. My husband and I looked at each other in shock but we had to quickly start our car to follow the man before we could lose track of him. 1st strike.

As we got to the villa, Mo's father spent a good 10 more minutes trying to find the house keys which had been left by Mo I believe in a flower pot though he struggled to locate the set of keys. He then contacted his son over the phone to try and locate the keys, as we could see he was battling my husband offered to reflect his torch to make it easier to look as it was already getting dark but he insisted he had everything under control. Again chills went through our bodies in shock at the level of hostility. 2nd strike.

Mo's father eventually found the keys and let us in. By this time we were trying our best to start on a good note still so we would not ruin our trip just because of a misunderstanding or whatever that may have been. Mo's father gave us a tour of the house. To our surprise he kept on repeating things he had already told us like where to find the s****s etc. and summoned my husband to pay attention to the tour and again we were alarmed at how he addressed him. So we just cooperated. 3rd strike

What broke the camel's back for us was how we asked questions and he did not care to answer any of our questions. If anything we were just trying to make small talk and get to know more about the place. One of the questions we asked were what animals we could expect to see as the estate is in the wild, we got lucky he would respond and his response was, "Loads of snakes and mostly Pythons. However Snakes are the least of your worries whilst you stay here" he said. at this moment we felt so uncomfortable and I said to him jokingly ,you are not making any attempt to give us survival tricks or make us feel comfortable hey? And he said I did not come here to make you feel comfortable! As shocked as we were that was the last conversation we had with Mo's Father. I told our experience to my cousin who had booked the villa to address this with MO and he did nothing including no apology.

Just to warn others who value the basics of customer service, I would suggest you spare yourself this kind of an experience. I would not visit this place again.
