I proceeded to pay $469 USD for the visa application, only to later discover that the transaction was processed by India Spirit Travels Private Limited, not a government entity. This discrepancy raised red flags, prompting me to investigate further.

Upon visiting the official website of the DRC Embassy in South Africa at drcembassypta.com, I found no mention of congo-evisa.com as an authorized platform. I called the Embassy directly and was clearly informed that https://congo-evisa.com is not affiliated with the Embassy or the DRC home affairs in any way. I was told explicitly: "You have been ****med."
