Shocking service from HTN & JL Attorneys

<p>I am in the process of clearing all my debt and 2 of my accounts which was with HTN attorneys was now handed to Jacobs Liebenberg Attorneys. The amounts from HTN and the credit bereau was far less than what JL Attorneys reflected on the settlement letter they sen me. I was shocked to see that they added more than R5000 above what the actual settlement amount should be. When I queried with HTN and JL Attorneys on the breakdown of these amounts, they refuse to send it to me. I contact the Credit Bereau Ombudsmun who advised that it is in my legal right to see how they got to those amounts on my settlement letter but JL Attorneys refuses to send me the details and even more, trying to actually make more money off people who are already in debt. When a consumer is settling a debt in full, a settlement discount is suppose to be offered but JL Attorneys is actually wanting more. I am laying a formal complaint with the Ombudsman, as I feel they are robbing people and trying to gain money that is not due.</p>
