Rude unfairness *******

I have settled my account in 2016 from then I have been sending my proof of payments to the till today and all I get is a final notice to pay when I phone all the consultants tell me is to email my proof of payments and paid up letters then cuts the call on me .Is this how a legal firm works so its easy to list someone make more money out of someone that has paid there account.
