Arrived late, **** about communication, refused refund

<p>My wife and I booked Hristo to play the violin at our wedding ceremony and before the reception in the garden. In the e-mails leading up to booking him, we were quoted an hourly rate and we paid accordingly, by the hour.</p> <p> </p> <p>On the day I didn't see him anywhere before the ceremony. I called him and he was miles away from the venue, near Granny Mouse in the KZN Midlands. Our wedding was at Calderwood Hall near Howick/Boston. With my wedding minutes away I gave the phone to my brother to direct him and accepted the fact that he'd be late. So as not to spoil our occassion I decided to address the issue after returning from honeymoon. He only made it for the pre-recpetion time and completely missed our wedding ceremony. This was a big deal to us, as it would be for anyone.</p> <p> </p> <p>I mailed him requesting a partial refund as we paid by the hour and he was an hour late. He ignored this mail.</p> <p>My wife called him and he claimed I gave him the wrong directions. So we asked him to show us where in the e-mail I did this. He never got back to us.</p> <p>I forwarded him the entire email thread again showing that I stated Calderwood Hall in the first mail. He did not respond.</p> <p>He accidentally called my wife a few days later, thinking he was returning a call of someone else looking for a booking, and they discussed the issue again.</p> <p>He said "these things happen" and "what do you want from me?"</p> <p>We wanted a partial refund, we stated this from the start. As a proffessional you should arrive on time and clarify anything you're unsure of. We paid for a service for which we only got a portion of.</p> <p>His story didn't add up either. If I gave him the wrong address then he should have been at some venue or the other and playing his violin, however he was still driving around near Granny Mouse guest house. Nowhere did I ever state that venue.</p> <p> </p> <p>He also got aggressive with my wife on the phone.</p> <p>He was completely unproffessional, rude and basically stole from us.</p>
