Received a call regarding outstanding debt to COJ yet my account is fully paid

The consultant asked me to give him info when he supposedly is acting on behalf of COJ.

Why ask for my info if COJ provided to you, why cant you ask COJ why they sent incorrect info and verify if my account is paid.
