Date night Tuesday special

I've sent below emails, called the manager and still waiting on feedback.

Good morning,

I would like to bring to your attention that I am so disappointed in choosing HQ as a date night.

This was the first time I attended the restaurant on a Tuesday for date night. In the past I would normally pop in over a weekend.

It was my boyfriend’s birthday yesterday and a close friend recommended your restaurant’s Tuesday special. I told the waiter that we are there for the R295 2 course meal special. He gave us options of 2 starters each, not telling us that it is not included in the special. Service was bad and we only received our wine when I asked about it and we were about to leave.

Why would I pay almost R400 towards starters, which is more than the mains?

I feel like it was a total ******* and I asked him if he can’t speak to his manager and explain what has happened, as I was unaware of paying extra for starters. He said he can’t void it, as the slip was printed already. I had no choice but to pay the full amount and my boyfriend told me never again will he set foot in your restaurant due to me having to pay for it.

Would be appreciated if I could be reimbursed for the starter portions.
