I took my son to see Dr P Cilliers, an Opthamologist in Johannesburg in January 2012. My son was given an incorrect assessment and he was misdiagnosed. My son then suffered for several years, was sent to many doctors and the******s to try find out what was wrong with him. Dr Cilliers did not notice that my son could not see properly. My son finally got spectacles last year and his life has changed, I reported this misdiagnosis to the HPCSA last year and since then, I have emailed them 17 times, I have lost count of the phone calls to them and whenever I do get through, I reach a voice mail telling me to leave a message. I have sent the HPSCA every medical report related to my son twice via email. What is going on? Why can't I get any answers? Where is the justice and the feedback? I do not know what else to do.
