Rather buy at a normal retailer!

I whish I confirmed on Hello Peter before I bought from HP Shop! I ordered cartridges for my printer via the HP Smart App. They were delivered and my wife installed them. The printer gave an error indicating it is non compatible cartridges. How does the this online buying allow you to order the incorrect cartridges and now they refuse to exchange it.
