problem with speakers bought at HP shop

I bought a set of Creative blue-tooth speakers at the HP shop at Cresta in July 2013. Intermittently, one of the speakers sounded very distorted and I went back within 6 months. The staff at the shop found nothing wrong and would not take the matter further. I tried once more after a year and the staff tested the speakers, found nothing wrong and refused to take any action. A staff members remarked though that the one speaker sounded much softer than the other, but seemed otherwise oblivious to a possible problem. The intermittent distorted sound continued and I went back to the shop in late 2014 to request replacement of one speaker (at my own cost) but this was turned down, because the HP shop doesn't sell Creative speakers anymore. At head office in Cape Town I got similarly a cold shoulder. If it's not HP equipment they don't deal with any problem, I was told. <br> The speakers were rather expensive originally although I got them marked down significantly.

Hello frabold,

Dear Frans

We're really sorry to hear about the issues with your Creative speaker. They are normally a very dependable product, so it's disappointing to hear of the problems you've encountered. We unfortunately don't stock Creative anymore, but we have better product called Nude that we are more than happy to swap for you. Ronald the Cresta store manager has tried to call you to organise the swap and will try again today to contact you.

Please accept our apologies again, and feel free to contact us with any further queries.

Regards
Matt Sledge
