Poor support from HP

I have a problem with my HP printer, where it keeps asking me to reinstall the cartridges, which I have done repeatedly and then followed instructions from the HP website on how to clean the printer heads. It does not work, and trying to get assistance from HP is like pulling teeth. I called one supplier and was basically told to just buy a new printer. Where can I get assistance?
