Faulty HP laptop

Good day Madam/Sir

On the 03 May 2018 I bought an HP laptop from CNA Pretoria Central. I used it for a while then it gave me problems. I took it back to the store around December and they troubleshot it. I went back home with it and it still gave me a problem. Earlier this year I went to CNA in Festival mall to take it back and I was told that they do not take laptops back and they said I should contact Lisa Pillay from ftech. I first contacted Lisa on the 30th of January 2019 and she gave me a telephonic assistance where she said I should troubleshoot it again.

After troubleshooting the laptop, it still had problems. I notified Lisa on the following day and she said she will send me a form to fill so they book the laptop. Then the laptop was first booked in on the 7th of February 2019. Lisa then told me that they ordered HDD for my unit and they are working on it. I received the laptop on the 22nd of February 2019 and few minutes after switching it on it ran into the same problem. Lisa then called me and suggested that I switch it on the whole weekend and call her on Monday to update her.

I did that and the laptop still had problems. On the 5th of March Lisa said that she will have the laptop re-booked again. The laptop was booked in again on the 5th of March and it came back on the 13th of March. The laptop still had the same problem when I tried using it. I made Lisa aware of the problem and she said she will escalate the issue to the repair centre. The laptop was then booked in again on the 26th of March 2019. I then emailed Lisa on Friday (4th April 2019) to follow up but unfortunately she has not yet updated me.

The laptop has been in and out of repairs for the past 9 full weeks and a couple of days with no guarantee that it will come back fixed. I am very disappointed in the quality of hp and extremely unhappy with the service I am receiving from ftech. I paid full price for the laptop that I am not using, not because I don’t want to but because of the poor quality and the people who are supposed to know what is wrong with it keep on failing me. I would never buy or recommend a hp product to anyone. I want my money back so that I can go buy a more reliable laptop that can be used and not spend 90% of its life in repairs, buying a hp laptop was a very expensive mistake of my life.
