WHY DO EVENT ORGANISERS USE HOWLER. THEY A MESS AND ***** YOUR MONEY
went to bishops school festival and it was chaos. how can a well run school use such a mess. im still waiting for my refund and my life back. im going to set up my school fees. what a MESS.

STATEMENT BY THE ORGANISING TEAM OF THE BISHOPS COMMUNITY EVENT, THE OLD DIOCESANS UNION AND HOWLER
We’d like to thank everyone that came out in their numbers to support the Bishops Community Event. It was truly a special evening and indications are that it has been a fundraising success.
The Community Event was the largest event ever held on the Bishops Campus - including all three parts of the school: College; Prep and Pre-Prep. Due to Covid, organisation which would normally have been a couple of months in the planning, was achieved in a few weeks.
We have learnt that this truncated time frame had an impact on our planning and execution.
We are aware that some aspects of the event did not go perfectly and there were some problem areas, mostly related to long queues, access issues and for some a negative customer experience. We are truly sorry for that.
Given the large number of attendees on-site, the mobile network was also slow and this caused further delays on the door to process credit card sales.
Howler were contracted to manage the tickets and payments system used for the event. The pre-issuing of the wristbands seemed to be the root problem for some and naturally this then cascaded into other areas of the event, and we were forced to draw some of the Howler on-site and our own people from other roles to assist with the crowds. The Howler team were also doing their best to manage the unexpected situation.
We would like to record that both pre and post-event, Howler have been very supportive.
In partnership with Howler, we are in the process of finalizing the financials. The on-ground challenges have caused a few delays. Once we close credit refunds we can wrap things up. The original deadline was 7 days after the event but given some of the issues, we have extended to the 11th April. Any unclaimed credits will be donated to the IIOFF (Invest In Our Future Foundation), and we would like to thank you in advance for this extra contribution.
Again we thank you for the ongoing support. As an organising team, we have huge learnings from this Event and hope to be able to provide an even better experience in the future to build better opportunities for all our stakeholders. The Community Event is an event which we hope to repeat - bigger and better!
