Howler.co.za - howling pain!
After a very disappointing year for all matriculants, the Plett Rage has also now been canceled. My daughter and I have been trying to get a refund from Howler.co.za who send an information piece on what you need to do to get your refund for this canceled event. Apparently, there is the option of "Refund" when clicking on the three dots on the right hand of the screen. No matter how many times I click on these three dots, no "Refund" option appears. This just feels like a way to keep our money for a longer period. And then they also advise payment when you managed to get the "refund" option, which can take anything from 7 to 14 days. They are not reimbursing us fully. The least they can do is, pay the percentage refund within no more than 3 working days. As if the disappointment of the canceled event isn't enough, we now have to fight and battle to get a small portion of our money paid back to us, although some of us were hit harder by the pandemic than they were. I've lost my job as well! I'm really very disappointed with this service, and will not recommend anyone to make use of this in future, as there is just no end in sight.
Howler is the ticketing provider for this event. This means we facilitate the transaction between the event and its customers, and deliver the tickets on behalf of the organiser. Unfortunately, this also means we have no power over event policies. They are set by the event organiser and legally, we’re unable to change them. The policy around deductions is ultimately at the event organisers’ discretion. Please understand that organisers rely on ticket revenue to secure suppliers ahead of time and may therefore deduct reasonable costs incurred to date.
We understand your frustration. Did you successfully receive your refund? If you have, we do suggest forwarding your complaint directly to the event organiser. You can find these details on the event’s page.
