DISSAPEARED WITH MY MONEY

Attended a festival that had howler as a means of transaction. When loading money on to the card, they told us we could just go back after the event and cash out and get the R20 card deposit back as well. When waking up the next morning, i headed to the food stalls. I was then told that howler had left and had taken their equipment with them. So there i was, the only cash that i brought to the festival was deposited on to my howler card, now useless. I could not buy food or water as Howler was also the "card facility". SO already fuming i return home and log on to the howler website just to be told i would not get my "refundable" card deposit back and they would charge me another R10 transaction fee to give me my money back. These cards can only be used at the festival where they were issued, so i can only assume my card and the rest of the angry clan at the festival the next morning who had the same reaction as me, these thousands of disposable cards from not only this festival will end up in the ocean, further ****ing our marine life. I will never attend any festival again that makes use of this howler system, i can only imagine how much money howler is making by taking R30 from every person at the festival without telling them about the fees beforehand.

Hello Tiaan

Could you please provide information as to the event which you attended where you had the experience?

If it is also possible could you please provide us with the UID on the card that you had used, the UID is a 14 digit number on the front of the card.

Other information you could provide which would help.
