Disappointing Customer Service

I am very disappointed with the customer service, as they seem to just ignore your emails. My daughter Jessica went to the Slushy event and then cashed out what was left in her top up account on the 2 February. Unbeknown to her the money went into my bank account which has been closed for 6 months. I know that if money gets paid into a closed bank account it gets reverted back to the payee. I have brought this to the attention of the support team at howler, asking them to look back on their records in 5 emails all of which have been ignored. It is disappointing that no one is willing to try and help to get the money refunded correctly.

Hi Diane,

Sorry to hear of this experience. The cashouts are always paid into the account listed under the profile information within the howler account that the wristband is linked to. These details can be changed at https://www.howler.co.za/bank_account/edit undet your profile information.

We have only received 1 email from you enquiring about the account that this was paid into, which Ntombi rep**** to with the account details. We were unaware that these details were incorrect. Our team will send through the Proof of payment for this transaction shortly as we have not received a reverse payment for this. In these cases, the funds are held by the bank in a "holding account". You may need to approach the bank with this proof of payment to retrieve these funds.

We will continue to attempt to refund this correctly if the funds do reflect as a reversal. But we'll need your correct account details.

We hope this is helpful and our team will be in touch soon.

Good afternoon

Thank you for your reply, however I am still waiting for your team to be in touch. You are right in saying Ntombi rep**** to my email, but no-one rep**** to the five others that I sent after that explaining the situation. Ntombi sent me the POP, and on it it says bank - null, so I don't know what bank you used. The bank details are correct on my profile and I hope to be refunded soon.
