Poor Communication & Refund Procedure

I purchased two toilets on 15 Aug, paid in full, and was then told they only had one in stock. I requested a refund (obviously), sent my bank details, and on 18 Aug was assured by email that the refund was on its way. Spoiler: it wasn’t.

Since then, I’ve sent daily requests just asking for a basic update. Nothing. Not even the courtesy of a two-line reply. Apparently, customer service here means ignoring you once they’ve got your money.

This entire saga has been a complete waste of time and energy — all for the “privilege” of lending them my money interest-free. A refund shouldn’t require detective work and begging emails. If you enjoy paying for stock they don’t have and then chasing them endlessly for your own cash, this is the store for you.

********* BEHAVIOUR - BEEN THREATENED WITH DELAYING THE PROCESS:
I'm answering from my phone. Logged in to **** email. It's fine. We'll wait for the NCC to contact us and take it from there. Chat in a few weeks.

If my emails had been responded to in the first place, there would have been no need for me to resort to leaving a review. A week of silence after confirming a refund is not reasonable communication. Good customer service includes responding timeously and transparently, and had that happened, there would have been no issue to escalate and certainly no review to write. Suggesting that I should have escalated to management when you are replying from the email address that I was communicating through is ludicrous.
While I understand your position, my responsibility as a consumer is not to protect a company’s  reputation but to hold it accountable. I am well within my rights to share my experience publicly and to escalate to the NCC if necessary.
