Refund policy omitting critical info

I asked upfront if software was legal and does have a particular function, and only after activation, I discovered that the software sold to me does not have this function.

Request refund, but was just told we do not refund software. No place on there website does it state that the refund policy does not apply to the software.

Sitting now with software that can not be used.....

Clearly a business I will not use in future again....
