Unhonoured verbal agreement on a failed filling at House of Smilez Benoni

I am writing this to express my deep disappointment with the service and lack of accountability at House of Smilez in Benoni. Approximately one year ago, I had a tooth filling done at this clinic. At the time, the dentist informed me that the treatment was borderline, stating there was a "60/40 chance" of success or failure. Crucially, the dentist explicitly assured me that if the filling failed, the clinic would extract the tooth free of charge. Based on this verbal agreement and assurance, I proceeded with the treatment. The dentist did not explain what "failure" would look like, nor did they mention any time limits or hidden conditions regarding the free extraction offer. A year later, the filling has indeed failed. I have now developed a lump on my jawline and a ****le on my gums, which indicates an active dental infection. When I contacted the clinic to have the tooth extracted as promised, I was told that I now have to pay for the procedure. While I understand that a year has passed, the clinic is refusing to honour the specific verbal agreement made by their practitioner when selling me a risky treatment. It is the dentist's responsibility to clearly communicate the risks, timelines, and financial terms. Leaving a patient with an active, painful infection and an unexpected bill after making a clear promise is unprofessional. I am looking for management to review my file, contact me, and honour the original agreement to resolve this health issue.
