Shop here if you want to buy an appliance that does not work.
I bought a Hisense Washer/Dryer from House of Demo (Randburg) for R8999.00 with a 6 month warranty. I was assured it is in working condition and I informed both the store manager and 2 staff members that I am relocating to Queenstown. Just to find that the machine is not in working condition.
After asking for any assistance, they basically told me my only option is to bring the machine back to the store- an impossible task as I am now 800 km away. I have asked whether they could arrange to courier the machine or arrange for a local here to repair it, to which they said basically that this is not their problem and the warranty is a “walk-in warranty” only (so if I need it repaired or repair I would have to go back to this store.
Therefore, I would now have to arrange for this washer/dryer to get back to JHB to be repaired, after it was the store’s error is selling me an inoperable machine.
I am horrified and disgusted by their incompetence, and I would recommend that any person who is planning on shopping here to avoid these conartists at all costs.

Huge apologies we try our best to avoid situations like this and test every product that goes onto the floor. We are not sure what happened in this instance. We have implemented new procedures to avoid another situation like this and strive to better our service and appreciate your feedback.
