RUTHLESS ****MERS

I write this review out of disappointment from the treatment I received from House & Home in Hemingways East London. On 31 May 2025, I bought furniture amounting to R20 800.00, cash. I had agreed with the sales person that because I was going to be out of town for the weekend, I asked them to stall the delivery until I return to East London. The Furniture was eventually delivered on 4 June 2025 after a lengthy fight with the driver whose name is Mbalo, who by the way ******ed money from me and demanded that I pay him an extra fee for delivering my goods to where I was at because I had expressly told my sales agent that I would let them know where to deliver the goods to. when Mbalo delivered my TV and the rest of the furniture, he did not test the appliances whether they worked or not because we had load shedding. He confirmed that he would endorse on his delivery sheet that he did not test the appliances and he further confirmed that should any of the appliances have a problem i could and should return them to the store.

The TV that I bought is a Smart TV and from the date of delivery until yesterday I had not opened the TV. I only opened it yesterday because I had bought a wifi Router to connect the TV. When I took it out of the Box to connect it, I noticed 3 thin lines running horizontally on the TV screen. I immediately called house and home and their rather rude manager told me that she does not have proof that the TV was damaged by them. Their drivers and sales persons check appliances before they dispatch them.

It was my first time turning on the TV yesterday. I did not damage the TV. I am appauled at the idea that I would pay so much money at House and Home for me to lie in the end. I have bought so much furniture from your store, including furniture for back home. I am now being told about 7 day guarantees and what nots, information that I was never told when I was swiping my card. House and Home refuses to replace my R8000.00 TV.

I am going to make as much noise about this **** and treatment as I can. I have been wronged. I will never buy anything from you guys ever again and I will be sure to tell my friends and family about this. I will be approaching my lawyers as well.
