Poor & Pathetic service

Theres no other way to start off this review other than saying that House & Home Lakeside Mall (Benoni) consists of the most *********** staff (not all), as well as a branch manager who is nothing but pretentious and has no way of dealing with his staff or customers. Our salesperson was absolutely clueless as to how to go about completing a simple sale. We as customers, were taken to different points in the store all due to the salesperson not having a cooking clue as to what to do. Confused and lost as a newborn puppy in a circus would not even be the correct analogy to describe how utterly *********** and inefficient this salesperson was. When employing staff, the 1st step would be to do due diligence to ensure that the potential staff member has the capabilities to handle the job. 2nd step would be, is to provide the relevant and necessary training in order for the said staff member to be effective and efficient in doing the job. 3rd step would be, to consistently reinforce and motivate the staff member to perform better, to build and develop themselves which will contribute to enhanced productivity - in this case, pushing to hit targets and make sufficient sales to boost the performance of the branch/store/company. Lastly, someone in an authoritative position should be able to make sure all of the above is kept constant. Robbie would be his name - the branch manager of House & Home Lakeside Mall. He has no way of talking to and dealing with his staff as well as customers. I was appalled upon hearing this man scream at his staff from one end of the store to the next (mind you, this happened 3 times in my 25min visit at the store). He has no culture and no ethical way of handling and resolving issues of customers. This is unacceptable, not at that type of level whereby you have staff reporting to you. Another thing, Rudy - the regional manager, I certainly hope you find another job as a filing clerk at the back offices of a bank - its one of the few places where you wouldnt need to answer phone calls to resolve problems of unhappy clients/customers, given the fact that you constantly cut our calls when trying to get through to you to have the issue resolved. If you constantly run away from trying to iron out minor malfunctions of a business, then why are you even a regional manager? Please, stop doing a disservice to everyone and give somebody else the chance to do the job properly sincing you cant. Nonetheless, I retain my decision to never walk into House & Home at Lakeside Mall Benoni in this lifetime and the next. And to those of you who do, GOODLUCK! ☺
